Nuts, pistachios, almonds, etc

Is it okay to eat a serving or two of those things daily? By "okay" I mean are they good for you, or can you overdo them? I love trail mix but the ones at the store are so high calorie and full of sodium, so I make my own with unsalted, dry roasted ingredients. It keeps me so full at work. Is this something I can continue doing daily and still be eating healthy?

yes! nuts have loads of healthy fats which actually promote weight loss, just don't eat them excessively, (everything in moderation), try eating nuts along with something high in protein, kinda balance it out :)

this is what I read at Mark's daily apple:
walnuts, pecans, almonds are nuts and are good for you.
peanuts are a legume and not so good for you.

I believe cashiews are a good choice too.

But my all time favorite, and one that I think alot forget about, is coconut.
Try coconut butter or coconut manna, it puts peanut butter to shame.

Oh awesome! I eat mixtures of different kinds of nuts most of the time so I don't get bored with one. I don't go overboard but I'm glad they're okay daily. Pistachios are my favorite.

Awesome, it made me feel like I was doing the right thing by generally avoiding the pre-packaged nuts and making my own mixtures :) I don't really like salt anyway so I always get the unsalted version of everything. One thing I do buy prepackaged though is the 100 calorie Blue Diamond almonds, they are the cheapest and the lowest calorie.
