Burn 101 Calories in 10 minutes

I was reading Good Housekeeping today and they talk about a way to burn 101 calories in 10 minutes. The calorie counts were based on a 150 lb woman, so these numbers could vary for you- but had to share.

1 min weight lifting (7 calories)
3 min jumping rope (36 calories)
3 min of jumping jacks (29 calories)
3 min of jogging in place (29 calories)

I tried it today- and of course because I am no where near a 150 lb woman- my calorie counts were higher. I forgot how hard a jumping jack was... they were so much easier when I was younger! Good Luck to you alll with all your goals!

    How bizarre....I was looking on the internet last night to see how many calories you can burn in 10 min. and the site I found had something very, very, similar that you posted. I guess something is telling me to try it too!

    I think it really depends on the effort one puts into each activity.

    Total burn could be less than 50 kcals if you just go through the motions.
