Intimidated!

HELP! I know weight lifting will help me see results faster and I'm all about trying it, but I'm seriously intimidated by "that" side of the gym! I do get on the weight machines, for lack of a better description, the girlie weight machines, will I get results with those too? Or will I have to suck it up and move over to the guy side???

If you are putting out effort, then you'll get benefits no matter what exercise you're doing. The weight machines are good for keeping your form together and it's easier than racking and de-racking plates between workouts.

Once you find you're getting no benefit from the machine (like doing sets of 10 at maximum weight easily), then see if you can find a free weight equivalent.

Personally, I'm gonna say - why be intimidated? Be INTIMIDATING! Be that woman who goes in and gets things DONE. You'll find that not only you'll get results faster, but you'll carry yourself with an air that says "Yeah, I'm lifting weights. So what? What are YOU doing? Staring at me ain't gonna make you stronger."

Buy a cheap weight set and workout at home. That's what I do.

Thanks! I love the last part! I'm building up to that confidence level! But I feel better knowing that the machines will give me results and help me to get the form down before I transfer over! :)
