I am a 34 year old (35 later this month), 5'9" woman who started out this year at 239. I have since lost 25 pounds, but can't seem to get past that.
(I don't remember the last time I was around 200, and when I have gotten close int he past I get stuck.)
I lost and gained the same 2 pounds for about 5 weeks, when I decided to take a break. I took a month or so off. I didn't go overboard but I didn't get a whole lot of exercise and didn't track my food for that month. I started back up about a week and half ago after gaining about 3 pounds back.
I know I have been over the 1200, but have averaged between 1200-1500 a day. I lost almost 2 pounds right away and then gained it right back (yes, I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday but I do).
I am thinking about making a doctor's appointment for a yearly checkup, but was wondering if there might be something specific going on that is making losing weight more difficult for me.
I thought about asking the doctor to do all the normal annual tests, and those that most would recommend for a 35 year old woman. But, was wondering if there were any specfic tests that someone mgiht suggest, like thyroid or blood sugar, etc.
