I'm typically a "cardio bunny" as cutandjacked.com puts it when interviewing the fitness ladies. I love, love, love cardio. I typically do some *sigh* tae bo *sigh* feel free to laugh, but it works for me. I find myself getting bored, and I know I don't need to buy anymore dvds because I literally have 15-20 of them..

My question is what do you all do when it comes to cardio? I'm not a runner, I don't enjoy it, I ran in high school, but now I can't get into it. I get very bored easily. I've done zumba as well, and it's not my thing...I'm not sure I really not how to build a cardio circuit...I'm lost...help? Anyone?

I love kickboxing. I also have a love/hate relationship with plyometrics

I'm guessing that your picture is not you then? That chick is NO cardio bunny, she's a gym rat!

I do everything to keep it interesting, but running is my love. All the other stuff is just cross training to make my running better and avoid injury, IMHO. I know you didn't ask about this, but I think resistance training has to be part of a complete fitness program, and lift heavy 2-3x/week as well.

My goal body, definitely not me! I lift heavy 6x's a week, but I have a lot of weight to go, and love to do cardio as well. I'm just bored with what I'm doing in that department

OK, now I understand. I would try sampling some classes, maybe looking in to local intramural sports leagues if there's a sport you enjoy, and looking in to activities groups like running clubs or hiking groups. Meetup.com is a great resource to find local groups of people with similar interests and goals- like I belong to an outdoor sports group and a running group, though I admittedly don't actually participate all that often. Another idea would be to look in to Team-in-training, and commit yourself to an activity for charity, and they will set you up with a coach and a team to train with, and you get to help yourself and help others at the same time!

I'm not usually a cardio lover - in fact I avoid it at (almost) all costs due to exercise induced asthma. Personally, I find myself getting my heart rate up with sports. Sports are more fun for me because the point isn't to work out - the point is to play a game! What gets funner than that? I'd suggest racquetball or really anything that your friends/family want to play with you. Kickball, basketball, four square...ANYTHING that gets me moving is fun for me.

TENNIS. I can put in 2-3 hours without even realizing it on the courts. Even if you're bad at it/learning/not that great it burns nicely and is a blast. If you take the game more serious like I do, you can blow calories out and really feel progression. The hardest part is finding a partner that fits. And this part is INSANELY hard. Finding a partner with the same skill level is tricky, finding one with that AND the same goals can be tough. There is a local club around me that charges like $15 on Friday nights for a social thing, genius idea IMO.
