For those of you that use if for skin and hair - do you just apply it directly? Does it stain clothes/sheets, etc?
Already eating some coco oil every day, but would love to reap it's benefits elsewhere, too!
Thanks!

I use it on dry skin sometimes, but all it takes is a tiny dab. It's like any other oil and will leave an oil spot if you don't let it soak in. If I put it on my face, I let it soak in a bit and then blot with a paper towel to remove the excess.0

Hi Elizabeth,
I just apply it direct, doesn't take much... haven't noticed any stains. At first I waited several minutes before putting on my shirt, but now I don't. No stains.
I used it yesterday after I used my "plucker" it did an awesome job of healing my pores & made my dry legs really smooth.
One bad thing... my cat likes to lick it off of me...
My sister used it for hair treatment & said it was awesome... I haven't had the energy to try that.
I baked my husband's fries tonight - rolled in melted CO... he really enjoyed them.
Its also great for taking off your make-up... (mascara)0 -
Yep directly right out of the shower, my skin looks amazing!!! It leaves a nice healthy glow! No oil stains on clothes or sheets, but I wash my hands really well after putting it on bc I hate an oily feeling on my hands. I'll never buy lotion again!! I don't use it on my face either, that's just too weird for me in the summer... Maybe this winter when my face gets a bit dry.
Good luck, have you tried this in coffee?! It's to die for! :0).1 -
yup, directly onto my skin every night before I go to bed. My acne has been DEMOLISHED in two weeks. I had acne for about 7 years, and couldn't believe it took me 2 weeks of using coconut oil to get rid of it. Never buying anything else for moisturizing my face again, that's for sure!!0

Wow! I love the responses and all the great uses for coconut oil! Thank you to all!
I have very dry skin (thanks, hypothyroidism!) so I will try this out for that!
Also, have not tried it in my coffee, can't wait! I did see a great recipe for a coconut smoothie using this, though!!
And acne...wooo...that's great! I'm one of those people that have been blessed with that since I hit puberty. Hmmm...26 years later and it's STILL not fun! Better, but come on...38 and still have acne?I will try it!
Thanks, ladies!!!0 -
I used it in Hawaii I swear that's why my skin stayed as hydrated as it did!0
