I started out with my lifestyle change on 1st May 2012 and the other day i joined in playing games with my boys at a family fun day, I could run around for about an hour and wasn't really out of breath! Something that did happen before, even just walking up the stairs!!
This has made me feel that all the hard work towards all the exercise i have done in this short time has been so worth it, even if i haven't lost alot of weight, im 13lbs down, i have improved my fitness and that means i can now run about with my boys without getting out of breath!
Ive got lots of weight to lose (about 40lbs) but this has just given me so much encouragement to carry on and that it will be worth it!
Hope this helps other people stay motivated.

Congratulations!!
Just for the record half a stone a month is a safe, healthy weight loss so don't do down what you have acheived. Remember the tortoise and the hare - slow and steady won the race and you will find it much easier to maintain if you lose the weight at a sensible rate and treat your body right.
Good for you, I lost weight to run in the Mummy's race at my son's school and again a non-scale victory which was so much sweeter than the actual numbers lost.
Good Luck

Thanks for the reminder, I haven't lost much weight, but I can run a whole lot further than I ever thought I could. The number on the scale only tells part of the story.0

I couldn't agree more! It's not about chasing the scale, it's about becoming healthier all together. I may be at my heaviest, but I have much more endurance than I did when I was 24 and about 70 lbs lighter. That excites me because I know that when I do get to my end goal, not only will I have reached it, but I will be the healthiest version of me that's ever walked this earth.0
