Just to answer your 'how much weight should I lose' question... If your TDEE is 1800 and you eat 1200 that's a 600 calorie deficit per day. It takes 3500 calories roughly to make a pound so you would lose on average a pound every 6 days or so IF all your estimates are fairly accurate.0

116lbs? what height are you?0
-
If you are exercising, be sure to pay attention to how MFP calculates your calories so that you NET 1200. Don't just eat 1200 and then exercise for hours on top of that - you will be depriving your body of needed fuel.
My advice: Let MFP do the balancing act for you so you're not hungry and tired all the time.0 -

If your BMR is 1350 and your TDEE is 180 then you need to eat between those too numbers to safely lose weight and keep it off. 1200 is far too little. you'll lost weight at first and then your body will be dying for nutrition and it will put a halt to the whole process. My suggestion to you is to eat 1500 calories a day PLUS your exercise calories. Keep that net calorie intake above your BMR PLEASE!!! you will only hit a plateau and become very frustrated if you don't.
I ate 1600 calories (5'6" and now 130 pounds), ate most of my exercise calories, and I still managed to lose 42 pounds. I've kept them off since November.0 -
you said you've only 3.5 lbs to lose why not take 3 weeks at it?0
-
Hmmm, you're already at a very healthy weight - are you maybe focussing too much on the numbers on the scale? What's your motivation for losing those 3 lbs?0

Yes, we want to achieve a good weight, but more than that get and remain HEALTHY!
Anyway, if you're on some crash program omitting exercise, do whatever. I hear smoking is great for weight reduction too as it suppresses the appetite well if you go with unfiltered.
Good Luck!0 -

By adding exercise in you'll increase the time in which you lose weight while furthering physical and mental health. Making sure you don't push to hard in the beginning, increase you level maybe each week and about every 2 weeks switch up you exercise routine. I have found what works the best for me is eating within my calorie set limit and then having a day when i will eat about 600 or so calories more just to keep my body on its toes.0

what if i wish to lose 2lbs a week?
I'll spare you the moralizing and just ask you to think about the math. If a pound is 3500 calories, how much is two lbs.? To make a deficit of that amount in one week, how big would your deficit have to be on average each day? (Hint: (3500 x 2) / days in a week). So to lose 2 lbs. a week, you'd get to eat only 1800 minus that value, assuming you don't make the 1800 more with exercise.0 -

what if i wish to lose 2lbs a week?
800 calories a day?

You really think 3lbs will make a difference to someone liking you or not? (and if the answer is yes, then what would that say about them)
Fitting into clothes is shape, not the number on the scale. Exercising, especially strength training, will help with that.
Being healthier - eat a sensible amount of the right foods.0 -

Yes, to lose 2 lbs/week (without upping your TDEE above 1800 by adding activity) you'd want to eat around 800 per day. Good job on the math! That's not really enough food, though. Eat at least 1200 and add exercise, if you absolutely must shoot for 2 lbs/week. With so little to lose, it's not going to come off exactly as planned, anyway. You could lose it all in 5 days or it could take 5 weeks. Stressing over it and eating so little won't help matters. It's only going to make you want to binge.
I agree that it's probably not going to change how you look at all, either, so maybe focus on some other goal- like realizing you look great now.0
