NO/LOW Carb Food choices

Hi Pals,
I've recently been reducing my Carb in take in an attempt to burn more FAT.
As a result I tend to be eating a lot less during the day to reduce my Carb in take.
I don't feel particularly hungry (and am not light headed at all) but am getting a bit bored of the same food most days over the week.
Therefore, I'm looking for options and variety for NO/LOW Carb food choices.
Without trying to want EVERYTHING (don't we all) I am steering away from BAD FATS too.
So slabs of cheese is out too. BUT, GOOD FATS are GOOD.
Looking forward to seing your suggestions,
Thanks,
Loozin

I'm happy with saturated fats personally, but this is a good low carb food with plenty of unsaturated fats too.0 -
The latest scientific studies I've seen indicate that "bad fats" aren't actually all that bad. Or at least definitely not bad for everybody. Carbs have a worse effect on lipids than "bad fats". This is a good place to start: http://eatingacademy.com/ as is http://www.marksdailyapple.com/
That said, if you're looking to stay away from animal fats, I recommend the following:
Avocados. I like them with lots of salt - low carb eaters actually require salt supplementation because the kidneys give up sodium really easily. Most of the carbs in avocados come from fiber.
I had Kale chips for the first time recently. It was a nice change in variety - they have a crispy mouthfeel without the chip carbs. You can make these with olive oil.
Coconut oil is a very healthy fat. I like to make chicken coconut curry. I fry the chicken up in coconut oil to add calories.
Bitter chocolate is also a good source of healthy fat (cocoa butter). The problem is that to go low carb it's gotta be pretty bitter.
Good luck.0
