Does the time of day really matter?

I walk during the day 5+ days a week and have been doing the 30 day shred every day for 11 days now. Sometimes I get home from work late or have other tings get in my way. Some nights I worked out at 8pm, some were 10pm, once I did it at 12:30am because I didn't get home til super late, today I decided to go at noon.. Does it matter if I have this variance (and typically stay up late anyway)? Most nights I don't sleep til at least midnight and wake up at 8:45 to drive 50 minutes to work. I am NOT a morning person. There's no way I'm forcing myself out of bed at 7am to work out. So do my late night work outs make any difference?

No. Time of day does not matter.

Whatever time works for you, and will keep you motivated and continuing. That's what matters.

Well I've been sleeping a heck of a lot better, that's for sure.

The most important thing is to get those workouts in when you can make it work for you.

The conventional wisdom is that getting some exercise in early in your day boosts your metabolism for the rest of the day.

Some people have trouble sleeping soon after a workout-need to wind down. I used to work out at night and get to sleep within an hour to two hours without a problem.
