MFP has a My Foods Section, so you could input the recipe and then what fraction of the total recipe you ate. You could also measure out your portions separately (could be easier to do with things like pasta, chicken, rice, ect)

On the top of the website, if you've signed in that is you'll have different links to click on like my home, food, exercise. Well click on food, and then under that click recipes and click on the recipe calculator. Add all your ingredients into the list, for example 1 cup chicken broth or 200g chicken breast etc make sure you add the oil or butter and spices etc. You have to decide how many portions are in your dish, so lets say it serves 6 - so type 6 under number of servings. Now if you've entered all your ingredients, you'll be able to see how many calories there are in one serving of your dish, once your entered all your ingredients and named your recipe, click save recipe. When you want add it to your diary, click on the recipes tab after you click "add food" and your dish should be listed under it. Oh, and after you've cooked your meal, use a scale or cups to portion your food out. So lets say you made soup, and it serves 10 people, so it might have 10 one cup portions. Hope you understand that, I'm bad at explaining things lol!

Here is a link for the recipe calculator:
