I need ALL the help I can get because I'm bored

  Please help, I feel like I'm in a slump. I was going hard for a little while, now it's a chore to burn just one calorie. I think it has to do with the fact that my husband and I were doing some things together and now he's MIA on this journey. Up until March I was able to burn 2,000 calories a day but then I got sick and it took me a while to get back in the spirit of working out. Now I want to burn but I don't want to burn. Does anyone understand what I'm going through? What can I do to motivate myself again? Is there anyone that can help me push and get back on the horse? Please I am up for any suggestions that can be given. I also think that I am too critical on myself, if I burn 500 and i see someone else has burned 900 I feel like a loser. I have to do better...I just don;t know how.

Burning only a few calories is a lot better than burning none.

There are also a lot of other benefits to exercise than just burning calories. For example, you can focus on building strength, or endurance.

Personally, my best motivator to workout is telling myself I don't have to work out for an hour and a 15 minute workout is better than nothing. If I'm feeling lazy, I'll just pop in a 20 minute video, or I'll put my headphones in and say I'll jump rope for a minimum of three songs. That way, I did SOMETHING, even if I didn't stick with it for very long. Usually, that breaks the lazy streak, and the next day I'm more likely to get ambitious.

I lost most of my weight while burning only about 300 calories per workout about 3 times per week. Don't feel like you need to burn so many calories...

burn 2,000? That is crazy! I do not even eat that many calories a day! I am lucky if I burn couple hundred, of course it is100+ degrees and hard to run in that heat and strength training doesn't give you calories.

I always find nagging myself into doing something super intense gets me back on the wagon. It's easy to feel lazy and bored beforehand but the feeling you get after really pushing yourself back into it is wonderful.

I know how hard it is to be motivated. I have hidden from excercise for a long time. It is hard to take the stairs walk to the train station or go for a brisk hike in this rediculous heat. Have you tried taking a class? Sometimes what motivates us is the presence of others. Personally I hold my accomplishments ( and defeats ) for everyone to see. It may sound rough but it kina shames me into doing activity every day. Cause then when my friends say " well where is your activity for today?" I say " um, I am just gonna do that now" besides I put my mum on my friends list so there is no escaping her. Lol. Grab up all the support you can get is my advice. Get a walking buddy, take a step class, join aqua fit.
Sorry I am wordy but I hope this helps.

I teach so we're off for summer but it was working during the year because my coworker and I would do a workout together when all the kids left...so I want to be active when school starts that way I can push myself harder
