High Triglycerides

Hi all.
I recently had lab work come back and show my triglycerides were 460-ish.
Doc said I'm not diabetic or even borderline. Nor does he see a medical cause, or seem very concerned.
He just recommended losing more weight, exercise and a fish oil supplement.
I'm a little unnerved as I'm hearing about triglycerides for the first time.
So anyone else dealing with this? What's worked for you?

I am facing the same dilemma. Basically triglycerides is the fat in your blood. You can reduce it by the things you mentioned as well as staying away from refined carbohydrates. No candy, white bread, etc. Exercise will also help. Also, watch your portion sizes, because anything that the body can't use gets converted to sugar.0
