I get up every day thinking I will exercise and then the day gets away from me. I have 8 kids (the youngest is 9 months old). I homeschool them and we run a farm. I never seem to have any time for myself. Anyone have any thoughts on how to fit a real work out into my day?

Wow, you ARE busy! I built exercise into my homeschool schedule. At first I did it early in the morning before the kids got up and I did it for a long time, but then I decided to do it later so I wrote it into the schedule. I got that scheduling concept from Titus2.com. They're a very conservative family but she homeschooled eight kids and her scheduling book (Managers of Their Homes) saved my sanity, lol!

Could you put it into your schedule during your daughter's nap time? Could you schedule a nature walk a few times a week and bring the other children and push the baby in the stroller? I don't know how old your oldest is, but could your oldest watch the kids for a half hour while you exercise?

If the youngest ones are down for a nap, and the older ones are schedule for school time that doesn't need you individually, perhaps you could do it then while they're working on their reading or writing or whatever? These are just some ideas that I thought of. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I only have two and already find myself with no alone time so I can't even imagine 8!! Wow u must have ur hands full... My suggestion would be to have a "gym" class and actually find a way to work in exercise with your kids, maybe find a fun dance video (dancing is a great way to burn calories), jump rope, have little soccer teams whatever u can think of... My 3 yr old loves to "work out" with me and even my little 1 yr old guy is starting to bounce and stuff and trying to copy me when I'm working out, it's hilarious and adorable.
