I wouldn't eat it. Just pretend you're at a buffet and you were just told that the chicken has been sitting out on the serving table for that long.

Food safety guidlines state if its been out for more than 2 hours within the 'target range' of when foodborne illness is greatest, you must dispose of it.
You really want to risk salmonella or anything else?0 -
i would throw it itll probably taste really dry anyway. Not worth the risk for a dry old bit of meat.0

You could cut it up and boil it gently for an hour or so with an onion or carrot/celery whatever you like, to make broth. Then strain it and throw out all but the broth. Yum!0

if really dry throw away
it's cooked and it's been only 4 h so i don't see risk of salmonella0 -

Its good common sense to throw it away and not use it for anything at all. Two hours is all it takes for it to be spoiled, four hours doubly worse.0 -
My advice throw it away and start again, can't be too careful with chicken. :ohwell:0

If it's cooked, I definitely eat it. I've eaten fried chicken that been sitting outside at a picnic for that long many times with a side of mayo-based salad that's been there just as long.0
