Best tool for overall at-home strength and overall conditioning? Haven't decided yet which one to get. I was also considering a set of adjustable DBs, but then scratched that one off the list.

I prefer a sandbag because the weight is adjustable. I know they have adjustable kettlebells, but there are other things I do with a sandbag I can't do with a kettlebell. I like to fill jugs part way with water and put them in the sandbag sometimes to change things up. I think it comes down to preference and how you plan on using them.

ETA: You can essentially make your own sandbag to suit your purposes without needing to spend $100 on one.

I feel like sandbag works more muscles, or the same exercise is harder with a sandbag of the same weight. Cost-wise, sandbag is probably better in the long run.

By sandbag to you mean a Bulgarian bag, or were you literally thinking bags of sand? I'd say both the Bulgarian bag and kettlebells have value so why pick just one? If funds are short, making a Bulgarian bag can be done on the cheap, so you might be able to make one of those and get a kettlebell. If for some reason you can only do one right now, get whichever sounds more fun to you and add the other as soon as your able. I don't think you'll find one or the other is "better", they're just different.
