exercising when sick?

Hey MFP community, not sure if it is allergies Im suffering from, or a cold but I kinda feel crappy. All congested an sluggish. started with a sore throat on Tuesday. Anyway, I am loving my progress so far and was wondering if any of you have continued to workout while sick, does it make it better or worse?

Depends on the sick... step/flu/creeping crud.... no. Spend the time needed to get better.

If it is just a cold or allergies, absolutely! I tend to feel much better (clearer) after a w/o. (I tend to run... so not at the gym infecting others though. That may be a consideration.....)

lol, agree. There is nothing wrong with a rest day or two either.

If my stomach is acting up or I have phlegmy issues that will basically make working out difficult/impossible I dont bother. Otherwise I will, just not as intensley as usual

I think you will feel better if you skip excercising while feeling sick. Plus you will spread germies at the gym. The walk idea isnt bad though

I usually stick to the rule: if it's in your head, exercise. If it's in your chest, stay home.

My mom told me that lol and it works for me. I usually feel better after i sweat when i have a head cold.
