Reality Check & Laughing at myself

I was feeling discouraged, because I have been tracking my food for about 6 weeks and even on an especially good day I have only lost 3 lbs. But my reality check was that for 10 days at the begining of my 6 weeks I took a vacation and ate like crap so I gained everything back from the first 2 weeks. So if I reset my expectations and only look at the last 3 weeks, then technically I have lost a pound a week. Spectacular results? No...but completely reasonable and I have to be consistent over the long term. Everyone says here, it did not come on overnight and it won't come off overnight either. Silly, but I do feel better.
