People offering food.

I work with alot of people that LOVE to eat, I also work with many older oriental women (1 Vietnamese, 3 Philipinos.) And they all like to "make sure I eat." I'm always hearing " Jonathan you look hungry you need to eat." And more often than not they are offering me cakes or candy, or just some kind of regular food but in such portions that is over the top. I feel bad for turning them down alot or not eating it all.
It's just so hard to keep up with this diet when they keep offering lol 0

Can you take it, eat a bit that you count and than discretely through the rest in the garbage?
You may just have to bit the bullet and say "Thanks but I'm really not hungry right now"
Or if it's food you like ask if they don't mind if you save it and take it home for dinner.0 -
I know this is really generalizing and I'll probably get killed for it.. but I did live in Asia for 7 years!
Many women from all parts of Asia are quite aware of diets and the concept of overweight Caucasian folks.
If you play it up and gesture to your stomach or talk about how you are fat and on a diet and turn it into a joke - this may really help. Then you can say no in a joking way and keep referencing the diet.
It worked for me, even though I cringed internally when I had to constantly refer to myself as too fat.. but generally there isn't such a stigma over there and/or it is seen as funny and something people will tease each other about more than the deep negativity towards overweight people here.
Worth a try...0
