The best I have ever had though was a nitrogenated "Irish" beer from a micro brew in Travers City MI.
I might head back up there just for the beer
You don't remember the name of it do you? I'm in MI and always looking for some new good craft brew.

You don't mean Kilkenny Ale, do you? It is nitrogenated like Guinness, but is an Irish Red Cream Ale. It can't be bought in the states (I have to resort to buying it in Canada), but I know select Irish pubs here carry it on tap. It has the same thick creamy head that a Guinness has, and it's incredibly smooth and delicious. The first time I ever drank it was at a pub in Kilkenny, Ireland, and I fell in love on the spot.

pretty basic here. I tend to drink beers I've found on vacation ( except for Peroni which I've always loved.) Red Stripe, Grolsch, Caribe... I like Fosters too. If none are available I can do Rolling Rock... western PA and all that..

Just about anything from Sam Adams, but especially Octoberfest, Scotch Ale, Boston Ale, and Irish Red.

    Smithwicks is my favorite.

Followed by Fat Tire Ale when I can get it. Being on the east coast I don't ge to sample it too often.

My husband's all-time favorite is Eye of The Hawk.

I like Blue Moon and Corona, but I'm really a vodka girl all the way.

I can't choose one, but here's my general short list - all on tap, if possible:

    Newcastle
    Boddington's
    Bellhaven
    Smithwick's brown ale

For summer time/hanging out/don't feel like paying wayyy too much for beer, my list changes to pretty much anything Mexican with a lime: Negro Modelo, Corona, Dox Equis, etc.
