Am I the only one?? And is my self-esteem really that bad?

Nya, hello there!! ^w^ So whenever someone asks me out or shows interest, I automatically take it as them trying to mess with me or that their friend put them up to it. Nobody could love me like that. It has to be a lie or some sick joke. Does anyone else deny someone loving them?

There's a great song that Nat King Cole sang (and George Benson and I'm sure many, many others)... called "Nature Boy"

The last line is, IMO, the most poignant...

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is to be loved and love in return."

I went through a stretch feeling down on myself and questioning why anyone would be interested in me... and a friend of mind had me contemplate the things that I was doing... things that others might find interesting... things that set me apart from everyone else (well... you know... at least the folks around me)... You know, accentuate the great things about you... work on the things you feel you need to... and never doubt your uniqueness... Nobody is loved by everybody... but you only need one fan to make you feel like a star!
