Favorite Spicy/Flavorful Healthy Food

I just discovered Whole Food's 365 (store brand) organic chipotle ranch dressing. WOW! It's spicy! It's 110 calories for 2 tbsp, but it is so flavorful/spicy you only need a tbsp. I just had it on arugula with garbanzo beans and cucumber slices, but I can imagine with some tomato, corn, guacamole or avocado, it would make a great tortilla salad. It would also be great to make a spicy chicken salad wrap or as a marinade.

I also love the different types of hummus...roasted red pepper, sundried tomato, etc...
Do you have anything AWESOME that made your healthy food more exciting?

  • Tonight I tried the Lawry's Caribbean Jerk marinade on some boneless skinless chicken breasts. It's not very spicy...just a little "kicK"...but it certainly turned up the flavor on the chicken.

    Sriracha hot sauce, cayenne powder, hot curry paste, and dried chipotle peppers all hang out in my cupboard/fridge :) Great spicy items for cooking.
