Weigh In Worries

So, I have been weighing in once a week using the electronic scales at a local Boots Pharmacy and have been losing at a steady pace of 1-1.5lb per week.

However, this week I lost a little more than I bargained for, not only had a lost a pound, I had also shrunk 8 inches.

5ft 2 to 4ft 6 in a week were not the inches I was hoping for!

Now I am concerned about their accuracy and just wondered if anyone else used them?

Probably time to purchase my own, does anyone have any suggestions of a decent make or model?

Or I could just keep using them.......maybe next week I'll be 5ft 10 and 118lbs!!!

Is the scale you've been using the ones they sell?

I would suggest getting your own scale and using that. It will be much more controlled than the public ones. When you weigh in on your own scale your weight may change but just use the one scale for weigh ins.

I only go with digital scales. I have used many different makes and models however always go with digital as I prefer them and find they are a bit more accurate. All scales have a bit of error though... just make it constant.

Are you saying the scale tells you your height?

Yup, they do weight, height, BMI. Just incorrectly it would seem!

No, it's a huge contraption that is used for public weighing only.

I think you're right, need to go out and get my own to get a more consistent reading on a regular basis.

    Thanks!

How in the world does a scale estimate your height? Sorry, I can't help you much there. It could be great at measuring weight, who knows. But a home scale doesn't cost much. And I don't think you need one with a height feature, unless you have problems maintaining your height.

I have a scale from target... Taylor brand, measures weight in .2 incriments, lithium battery. Works well for me, and was $20! :)

It's a height and weight machine combined, uses infared/ultrasonic to measure.

And if I go by these scales, I really do have a problem maintaining my height!

Right, time to purchase my own......thanks, ladies.
