I reached my goal today! Now I'm unsure about going onto maintenance. I was thinking of staying where I am for a month and then changing. Or should I do it straight away?

If you are at your goal weight you can start now. Or slowly increase your daily calories until you hit your maintance number.
Increasing your calories directly to your maintance number may cauase temporary weight gain but it would be water weight and would come right off.

I have been at maintenance level for about 6 weeks now. I started about 2 weeks after I reached my UGW and didn't lose anymore. Those first 2 weeks I increased slowly but then after 2 weeks hit it full force. I play around with a +/- 1-2 lbs maintaining but it's mostly water weight and I know for a fact I'm just as lean as I was 6 weeks ago. Good luck!!! It's all about balance and maintaining is just as hard and takes just as much work.0
