Wake up call- leg chaffing

Ok- never in my life had i had this happen- I knew I need to lose weight but this is horrible. I did a 5K 2 days ago and new shorts on (since none of my old fit - too small) and within the first mile I was having to pull one side down and now my legs are a horrible mess and I don't know what to do. This was a true wake up call to me to let me know how much weight I have actually gained and that I need to do something about it. I am almost to the weight I was with my last child. It shows- I kept telling myself it wasn't that bad but now know.

I hear ya! It's kinda gross isn't it?! I have a similar experience running a 5 Miler on Wednesday but I've learned to never ever wear anything new for a race. all clothes need to be broken in.
In the future, use some aquafina where you rub and it will provide a chaffe barrier.0
