NEED your input with this dinner party menu!

I need your input/suggestions on the menu and a few ideas! The main dish is cajun inspired so I'm trying to build around that.

Appetizers:
Warm spinach artichoke dip served with crusty bread and tortilla chips
* need suggestion for one more low-lactose appetizer option*

Salad: Tomato - cucumber w/ homemade vinaigrette
Bread: Homemade corn bread
Main: Chicken cajun pasta

Dessert: Key lime pie

Do I need to add something to the main course? I wanted to serve fried okra but fried food is really hard to service since I would have to be frying it up fresh.

Should I add a corn and bacon maque choux - too much?

Is the tomato cucumber salad okay pairing with the cajun chicken? My thought was that it would be a nice cool addition with the heat of the main dish.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Dinner starts at 7 pm so I have plenty of time :)

How about fresh chilled watermelon for dessert? or melon fruit salad? Fresh fruit is a great dessert and can look so festive!

You're going Cajun without a seafood étouffée? Crawfish, definitely.

    Pralines with dessert.

Perhaps a brushetta as another option for an app? or bacon wrapped shrimp with a bourbon glaze?
I think your main looks well balanced, I was going to suggest dirty rice, but I see pasta and cornbread, doubt you want to add another carb.
And I love key lime pie! So i would certainly pick that over any other dessert. nice fresh fruit melons and berries is a good suggestion too
Good luck wiht your dinner party!
