What are your trigger foods?

What foods can you not stop eating once you start?

anything with sugar
nuts - especially peanuts and peanut butter
most processed carbohydrates - including rice cakes and anything made with flour
high fat dairy - butter, cheese, half and half, whipped cream - sometimes even cottage cheese and yogurt

The only things I succeed in never eating are: sugar and flour products. When I give in and eat the others, I usually can't stop until they're all gone=binge. I hope mfp can help me with this.

For me it's french fries, pizza, chips, and sometimes candy.

I notice what happens with me personally is I will go about 3-4 days eating very cleanly, then all of a sudden on that 4th or 5th day something sets me off and I eat too much of something I was craving. I've been to stick to my goals of about a pound a week. Once I have that binge I am back to normal again.

For me it's anything with potatoes. The odd thing about it is that no matter how many mashed, fried, scalloped, or baked potatoes I eat I never seem to feel satisfied after eating them. They also taste oh-so-good so I just keep eating more! I've decided to cut potatoes out of my diet. That should keep me in check (I hope!).

Biscuits. Once I open the packet it takes a hell of a lot not to scarf the lot down!

Sugar. Chocolate, mostly, but any kind of candy, sweet baked goods, etc.

I find that having a bit of dark chocolate here or there keeps the cravings from being overwhelming.

Fried food-like fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, mushrooms
Dips and Chips-now I portion it out and can still fit it in. At parties/showers etc. forget the cake, I'm all about the chips and dips.

For me it's mostly snack foods, like chips, but cheese has been known to give me 400 calories in one meal. I  cheese...

In a meal though, carb-y things like pasta and pizza really make me put up a fight. The one thing that I haven't been able to beat yet is Chinese food. God made Chinese food specifically for me. I know it.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I hate it when I'm listening to the radio and a commercial comes on for them.

Cake. Oh, gosh, I love cake. Everything else I can just take out of the bag/box and put the box away and eat my "portion" but with cake and I am cutting my own piece, somehow I end up with 2 all of the time...!

It used to be potato chips or peanut butter...now I go for cheese. Yikes! I guess at least the cheese has some food value....why do I crave apples or veggies? Lol....

My Achilles heel is breads and pastas of most any kind and sweets: cookies, cakes and candy.

Breads and pasta I am better at controlling portions but the sweets kill me every time.
