I wanted to post this here because it seems to be a reliable article. Here is one quote and then I will put the link. "The more strenuous a sport, the more calories an athlete needs to refuel their bodies and muscles properly for the work they are doing."

IMO this article proves to me that you must eat according to your activities. Some of the greatest success stories are about athletes. We are athletes here as well whether we know it or not and I think it is a good way to view ourselves in our new lifestyle. Athletes fuel their bodies in order to "get better" get in better shape, more energy, strong! Let's do it!

    I just heard that these bicycle guys doing the tour de France right now have to eat 6000-8000 cal per day to keep up, they normally do over a hundred miles in a stage and keep it up for 12 days or something with only 2 off days. Wow.

    Yes, this doesn't surprise me because I used to ride for 100's of miles with my X and it really did take a lot out of me. I think I have some cool facts on how using your brain actually burns calories. Wow, I could burn another 100 a day if I start using mine:laugh:
