    Here in the England we are right in the height of summer - as record floods sweep the country!

    Ha-ha, I hear you! We are in Wales - one of the wettest parts of the UK - but thankfully no flooding yet. It would be biblical by proportion to flood where we are anyway as we are 600ft above sea level :laugh: However, we have friends in Cumbria who have already been flooded out once and it seems there is another lot on the way over the next few days - I feel so very sorry for them :sad:

    I was in Swansea a couple of weeks ago and they had to shut the M4, I was driving through 6 inches of water on the motorway!

    42 degrees celcius (107.6 fahrenheit) in Ottawa today with the humidex. It takes the energy right out of you!

    I'd love me some 34 degree weather right now (says the person who's had no A/C for almost a week in 100+ degree heat)

    depends on which temperature scale... I just wish I wasn't stuck inside all summer long... being a grown up sucks....

    34C = 94F. It's hot, not freezing. :P

    I know... I was a Meteorology major in another life.... :wink: She didn't say if she was talking about 34F or 34C... but by the way she mentioned 100 degrees, I assumed that she was talking Fahrenheit... as I am pretty sure no one could withstand 100C heat... :tongue:

    Now, back to wishing I could go sit by a swimming pool for an afternoon.

    It's official. We broke the record here today. 35.1C right now (in Toronto).
  • Atlanta was 105-106 degrees last weekend. All time high. We've broken many records these past few days. Yesterday was 100 again. I only saw 98 degrees today and a cool down is coming.
