    Never cared for bacon. Not all that wild about cake either. Now a good pie on the other hand... yum.

    I prefer Cake's cousin, cheesecake. It is divine. Manna from the heavens. What is with the ongoing bacon posts? What am I missing? I mean, I like bacon, I even eat it sometimes. But I have never felt the urge to post about it. Wait a second, I AM posting about it. Crap. I guess bacon has finally lured me over to the dark side with its thick-cut, smokey evil goodness. Oh Lord Bacon, I am your mistress!! :love:

    Favorite cakes: Vanilla and strawberry, a good chocolate (there are so many piss-poor versions out there); carrot cake. Personally, I think the latter counts more as a vegetable, doesn't it? If not, it damn well should!

    Bacon is ok, but I have to be careful as my stomach does not tolerate nitrates well. My love is Maple syrup. OMG..my man is a maple syrup producer. He also makes maple butter, maple glazed cashews, maple sugar, maple fudge, and we are currently working out a recipe for maple marshmallows. Oh, and the Canadian classic, maple taffy on snow rolled up on a stick.

    Now..if you give me back bacon fried up in maple syrup..I'll swoon.

    Mmmmmm. Does he have a single brother in the same business? :love:

    I have made choc. cake with bacon, and I have also made choc. chip cookies with bacon! SO YUM! But I won't be making them much anymore. :( I'd eat the whole triple batch!

    poke holes, pour in sweetened condensed milk and carmel ice cream topping. When cooled, top with cool wHip and crushed toffee bars.
