I began using MyFitnessPal about one month ago, and it has helped me maintain my weight ever since I returned to the US. I've have always been overweight since I hit puberty, but now I want to be at a healthy weight and feel comfortable wearing shorts among other things. lol At my heaviest I was 198 lbs... o_o (I'm 5'5)
Actually before returning to the US, I had been living in Asia for about a year and had lost about 15 kilos (30 lbs) in a span of 9 months. I honestly feel this was due to a more active lifestyle and a different diet. I could lose weight while not being too conscious of what I ate...But, now that I'm back, I knew that method wouldn't work in the US. So, in an effort to not regain all that weight I lost and hopefully lose another 15-20 lbs, I decided to join MyFitnessPal.
After my experience in Asia, I became a foodie and love to experience new foods. I'd love to find friends and support groups who enjoy and love to experience new foods as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
