The only fast food I eat (unless Saladworks counts). I love their "food with integrity" practices
Carnitas burrito bowl, brown rice, mix of black and pinto beans, double fajita veg, mild tomato salsa and lettuce = 500 calories, 15 grams of fiber, happiness, and enough food for two meals.

Just had some yesterday.. 3 steak tacos, with lettuce , cheese and sour cream.0

I make a burrito bowl like their's at home. I don't like to patronize the company after seeing this debacle. In a nutshell, they did a tv show where the prize was your own fast food restaurants. They closed the winner's restaurants in under 2 months and wrote off millions against Chipotle shareholders.

I don't see anything on that page that turns me off to Chipotle. Steve Ells helped fund the thing, the chain failed, and the owner blamed Chipotle. Where is the evidence that Chipotle is at fault? Sounds like his food wasn't good and he wanted a scapegoat.0 -
I'm a huge fan and this is on my weekly lunch rotation for sure.0

Living in Minnesota...why the heck would you open a restaurant built around soul food at the Mall of America? There are parts of Minneapolis and St Paul where it would work, but MOA draws a lot more white people from around the midwest than anything else. And the South Street Seaport in Manhattan? Why would you go to southern Manhattan for soul food, when Harlem is less than 8mi away? They were dumb to site them this way, but frankly a $2.2 million loss on a $2.2 Billion revenue base ($213MM net income) is a pretty cheap experiment.0 -
Chipotle is my FAVE!

I came across this site last night, haha. I think it's useful, but considering how even the healthiest stuff at Chipotle isn't all that healthy, I won't get much use out of it.0

I've never been. Omg, is it really that good?
I know where I'm going this Thursday~0 -
awesome!!! thanks for the link. I love chipotle too. I have created my own meal with stuff I generally get in a burrito bowl...:)0

FTW! bump!! i ♥ chipolte!0

I'm addicted to Chipotle. We eat it at least once a week. One of the few healthy choices for fast food!
This post has me craving a chicken burrito bowl, with brown rice, black beans, tomatoes, and extra lettuce. YUMMAY0 -
DH is casein-free and I'm gluten-free. We don't have many dining out options and we're grateful for Chipotle! Their guacamole is just avocados + vegs; no mayo or other extenders. I can get a single taco which is convenient if we're not able to take leftovers home.0

Here's Chipotle's official nutritional calculator that may be more accurate than the other one (it's new!):

I agree, I wouldn't eat 'soul food' anywhere. It just bugged me that the 'winner' only got less than 2 months to try his concept. I watched the show, he was a nice guy, and Ells was a douche.
And while the millions lost are not significant to Chipotle's bottom line, if I was a shareholder (which I probably am through mutual funds in my 401K) I wouldn't want to be funding that sort of stupid thing at all. It was basically a hail Mary to either land the next great concept (and they picked a strange concept) with the minimum effect of getting Ells a bunch of screen time.0 -

I love Chipotle! I had Taco Bell cantina bowl which is supposed to be the new menu computing with Chipotle and it doesn't compare!
You can get pretty healthy selections at Chipotle and the quality of ingredients is great!0 -
Tis my weakness0

This is exactly what I get, plus the hot sauce and corn relish (it adds a crunchy sweetness that I've become addicted to). I sometimes have them put about 1 Tablespoon of cheese on it, but I like it without, too. And I can get 2 meals out of 1 burrito bowl!

It's ok. I would rather take in Qdoba.0

Thanks for clarifying. The funding / "screen time" points steering you away from Chipotle are understandable.0 -
Am I missing something here? I was going to go to chipotle today until I saw on here that a steak burrito was 1000 calories. There was no way I was going to put 1000 calories for dinner into my mouth for ONE burrito. Did I miss something?0

Chipotle is my FAVORITE. I always get a vegetarian burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, fajita veggies, pico de gallo, corn, and hot sauce, guacamole and lettuce. It comes out to 555 calories and is super filling! I used to get a bowl (or even a burrito) with all the works, including meat, cheese, and sour cream but honestly I don't miss any of that switching to the lighter version AND I don't feel guilty or uncomfortably full afterwards!0

I've never had one so I might be wrong but I believe their burrito might be about the size of your arm.0 -
