of myself. I have been down in my upper back since Sunday, but yesterday I rode my stationary bike for 30 minutes even though I did not feel like it, and today after I took my daughter Anna to school, I put my son Jacob in the stroller and went walking for 36 minutes even though I really didn't feel like it. I didn't burn but a little over 300 calories both days but at least I got off my behind and didn't feel sorry for myself and did some exercise. I didn't eat the best yesterday so I don't know if I will have a good weigh in next week or not but I am glad that I did the exercise anyways. :flowerforyou:

That is a great reason to be proud!! It's hard to get moving when we don't feel like it, but that's exactly when we NEED to get moving. And you did it! You pushed down the wall and went for it!!! Gratz!!!

Walking is good, when I my knee is killing me I find that I can still walk. I went out with my daughter last night, was just strolling really but we walked for quite some time, and I was surprised at the calories that we walked off. And it felt good!!!

staying active is very hard to do when you are in pain, but just think of the example that you are setting for your kids!!! They will grow up knowing that you are a warrior, and you continue to move forward even when the going is tough. :) That's a great lesson to teach them. :)

yes, that is exactly right, I am glad that I am doing this while my kids are young, I don't ever want them to be overweight, and we eat healthy at home now, and I wan them to know that they should exercise too.

Yay! Sheesh, sometimes the hardest hing for me isn't restraining myself from certain foods, its forcing myself to workout when I really don't want to. But getting up and doing something is better than nothing you know?

    Good for you gal!:flowerforyou:

  • good for you getting moving...
what are you doing to take care of your back? I suggest a little regular yoga might help.

just trying to take it easy, I was in a wreck in May and they told me at the E.R. it was a back strain, hasn't been completely the same since.

Sorry to hear your back is still bothering you. Glad to hear you are still in the game. It is nice to see your ticker counting down. Mine is still stalled. Onward and upward!
