Hiya everyone,

Iv exercised for years, it's my stress reliever so I always go for cardio. Im slowly getting my eating where it needs to be to lose that final 20-30 pounds and get lean but im struggling with exercise. Iv built up my running for cardio and I cycle to and from work (I work 3/4 days a week 12 hour shifts as a nurse) but I know I badly need some serious resistance training If im going to lose the fat and get the super lean look. Im not going for super defined just the "celeb" look I suppose...really tight. I can only workout on my days off so I really need some guidance! Im lost after a few push ups on what to do!

Thanks!

I'd look at one or more of the following programs/books:

If you don't have/want to use free weights, check out:
You are Your Own Gym (book/site -- all bodyweight, highly portable)

or if you want just one starter routine, rather than an indepth set of programs, check out the nerdfitness beginner bodyweight workout: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

If you have access to free weights (which will allow for faster progress), check out
New Rules of Lifting for Women (book), Nia Shanks' Beatiful Badass (online), or Stumptuous.com (general strength training for women)
