I don't know if that is too little? I generally don't get hungry on 1300kcals even when I exercise, so am I on the right amount?

I'm sure 1300-1500 is about right. Just keep carbs under 100 and up protein to 100 and you will be losing within a week. I'm just about the same 5 2 and look at my diary0

I am 5'6" and I only get 1200 cal a day. I am usually ok with that. :happy:0

katgirl72- you are not eating enough and your diary isn't clean
Look up the primal blueprint- cut your carbs in half and double your protein- you'll be glad you did.
I'm eating meats, fish, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, fruits, veggies and a little bit of bread (ezekial) or red quinoa. drink protein shakes or eat protein after your workouts- it builds muscle! Take the challenge and friend me after a week- I look forward to hearing from you!0 -

Sorry disagree I'm
Not a clean eater and I've lots a lot plus 28inches in 23 weeks 7 inches off my waist
I eat as healthy as I can afford but I've learnt too strict you'll fail as you feel deprived not eating a daily treat0 -
I am much shorter than you and I maintain on 2200 per day. Have you calculated your TDEE and BMR?0

Whoa! this isn`t a question from katgirl72. don`t judge they are losing weight and have not asked for advice?
Mine is set to 1200 cals a day and I do not want to follow primal blueprint!
We al like to think our way is the best way but unless someone asks you to help or adds you as a friend then I really don`t think you should criticise the way they eat
But kudos to you for following your own path :-)0 -
I'm 5'3" and I eat 1300 to lose about half a pound a week. Any lower than that, I get hungry. I'd say, if you're looking to maintain, 1300 is far too low, but to lose, it's perfect. For me anyway.0

I wasn't criticizing- sorry if it sounded that way. But after I found a better way to eat-I want to share what works. I don't eat clean 100% of the time- it's 80%, 20%. I didn't mean to come off as a know it all0

I totally agree with you, what works for you is great and what works for me is great too! and I don`t think you have come off as a know it all, but sometimes it is so easy to check peoples diaries that have not asked for help...I really get where you are coming from...you want to share your `thing` keep up the good work to you x0 -
I'm 5'3" and my trainer tells me to stick between 1300-1500 kcals a day regardless of how much or little I work out. He said that your body needs to familiarize itself with how much it knows it's going to get everyday so that it can get on a good fat burning schedule. He explained it in a lot better detail than me but bottom line is that 1300 is the lower end of the spectrum and you should be fine.0
