"Addicted"

Saturday is supposed to be my day off and I still find myself working out & being careful of what I'm putting in my mouth. Even if just a half hour, I'm always aware to offset the cals consumed with cals burned. At the very least I do SOMETHING to ignite my very slow metabolism so that it works FOR me. SMH. My girlfriends say I'm addicted to working out. :-/ I'm an ardent believer in BALANCE, so I'd hate to become a gym rat. I tend to think the discipline has finally flipped "the switch" on.

Anyone else experienced the "switch"?

I did - a long time ago. Exercise and getting active have become a part of my daily life! I feel like I haven't showered if I don't get some form of physical activity in. Even if I can't make it to the gym, I go for a long walk or run outside... or a bike ride or something! That's my me time. Every day. And I need it. It keeps me in a good mood! :)
  • I did before I tore my tendons...it got to the point where I was doing 2 hours of HI cardio when I was completely fit but I just felt like I had to do it.

OUCH!!! Since this healthy lifestyle is new to me, I guess it's all kinda foreign to me that I'd actually LIKE working out. I'm just glad I'm learning to like it -- it's making this process much easier. :)

I don't see anything wrong with wanting to always be mindful of what you're eating. Just be careful that you keep in mind, a diet is your life, not something you go on and off of.
