Ok so I'm fed up. Wednesday, I was at a party, and gained 4 lbs by the next morning. Today, I was at a party, and probably will gain some weight. I know its just water weight but I still beat myself up. But you know what?! IM DONE WITH ALL OF THIS!

1. I'm done counting every calorie
2. I'm done freaking out if I drink a regular pepsi by accident
3. I'm done measuring every darn thing i put into my mouth
4. I'm done weighing myself every single day

From now on, I am just going to eat when I'm hungry (whole and nutritious foods of course) and stop when I am full.

THE END
sorry for my rant, but this mental freedom is a success for me.

The thing is you also naturally go up and down a little weight wise anyway.
Hopping on the scales everyday is just torture (trust me I do it some weeks and its horrible how it affects my mood).
    Try to weigh yourself less.

Once a week tops(my trainer at the gym says once a month is enough... im not quite there yet).

I wish you luck. I need more discipline and accountability in my diet....that's why I am here. But I hope your new plan works for you. :)

    I agree with you COMPLETELY.

2 years ago I lost 9 pounds between Thanksgiving and New years (that's correct, during the 3 biggest feast / party holidays of the year, I managed to lose weight) by counting e-v-e-r-y-s-i-n-g-l-e-t-h-i-n-g-i-a-t-e-o-r-d-r-a-n-k - and I HATED it!! I was on 1200 calorie diet and it didn't allow for any treats ( and believe me, there were plenty in the office) and by the time I got home for dinner, I only had about 100 - 150 calories left and I would eat egg white omlettes while my family ate normal dinner food! Now I do kickboxing 3-4 times a week, lift 1-2x week, eat healthy food when I'm hungry, stop when I'm full, don't go to starbucks for a sugar fix and am fitting into jeans that i bought because they were too good of a sale to pass up though I wasn't able to wear them for over a year - and I haven't lost any scale numbers!!!!

Screw the scale and the calorie counting. Your plan sounds awesome. Just keep some clothes around that are a size smaller than you are wearing now and try them on periodically. Or take pix. I notice a HUGE difference in how my face looks in pictures now! Good Luck!

Thanks for the support everyone! I really means a lot! I've gotten to the point where I wouldn't even eat cake on my own birthday and found myself close to tears because I put full fat salad dressing on my salad instead of fat free.I realize that this isn't a healthy state of mind, and not one I can sustain. I'm ready to start living again and stop worrying about food every five seconds. Honestly, if I only think about food when I'm hungry, I probably won't mindlessly eat or crave anything!

I wish you luck! Not everyone is the same and what works for one will not work for others so find what works for you and work it!

dont eat alot of food at one time, and eat in moderation, you dont always have to eat healthy to loss weight you just have to stay within your calories and exercise. hope it turns around soon.
