Sugar in the raw (SYRUP)

Ok, we all are looking to sweeten things up without adding extra calories.
There are arguments about using the fake (splenda, sweet and low etc) sugars too.
Agave nectar was a new and "life saving" type of sweetener as it was low glycemic, but at 60 calories, it added up quick!

I just wanted to share another option with you all!

Sugar in the raw created a syrup! I use it in iced coffee, hot coffee, oatmeal, smoothies and a lot more!
A single teaspoon at 20 calories provides as much sweet taste as agave nectar.... with NO ODD TASTE!!!

It won't be for everyone..... and yes it's still sugar... but hey, all things in moderation right???

Anyone else use this stuff??? And if yes, what do you use it in?

I don't know the product you're referring to - but regular sugar is about 16 cals/teaspoon, so if I want sugar, I use sugar.

I don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners or stevia so I avoid anything with those too.

I'm allergic to Stevia and can't stand the taste of sweeteners. I just use sugar or Maple syrup if I want something sweetened. I just use it sparingly. I've found my taste buds have adapted very quickly so that even a very small amount of sugar is enough now.

I have seen it.. never tried it... since many months ago I don't add sugar to anything I eat except what it comes naturally in the food.

You are right moderation is key... and does add up veery quick!
