Some Ideas to Spice up your meals for Dieters bored with the same old meals!! Have you tried Shirataki Noodles from "House Foods" made from Tofu and Yams its only 20 calories per serving. and total 3 carbs per serving and 2 of those carbs are from fiber anyway!! www.housefoods.com They come in spaghetti, angel hair and Fettuccine shapes! I like to mix and match different kinds of spices seasonings such as Haitian Djon Djon Black mushrooms, assorted "Maesri" Thai curry pastes, "Walkerswood" Jamaican jerk seasoning, freash garlic, habanero peppers etc . I also add chicken breast. fish, shrimp or tofu to the noodles.
I also eat lots of fish like salmon and tilapia. I heat my oven to 400 degrees. I rinse the fish filet with water leaving it a little wet, so it will steam( NO OILS OR BUTTER) I the put my fish filet on a piece of aluminum foil. I season it with garlic power, onion powder, sea salt, fresh crushed black pepper and cayenne pepper on both sides. then I completely wrap the fish in the foil so it steams in the foil. Place it in the oven for 10-15 mins depending on the thickness of the fish. While the fish cooks I steam a small serving of green vegetable like asparagus, broccoli, spinach or brussel sprouts and season it differently every time. on occasions I will add some Sargentos low fat 4 cheese Mexican blend ( about an 1/8 of a cup 40 cals) to the vegetables for added flavor!
