I've been a member of this site for little over a year now and haven't posted anything until now. I just wanted to post pictures of my progress in celebration of hitting One-derland. Today the scale finally read 199! I started my journey at 325 lbs and never thought I'd actually see the day where my weight started with a "1"! For anyone struggling out there to keep there motivation going long term, stick with it! I saw a good quote at the beginning of my journey and it really keeps me motivated: "A year from now you will wish you started today". Meaning think what you can do in a year, if you sit and let a year go by without trying you will regret what could have been. My progress has been slow and torturous and there were days where I sat and cried in frustration, but I never once gave up. I knew I wanted this badly enough that giving up wasn't going to help me reach my goals. I have about 50 lbs to go and looking back at the 125 I have lost, that so totally seems doable! Keep pushing on everyone! The pay off of all your hard work will soooo be worth it!

Start of my journey at around 325 lbs. I didn't have a scale until a few weeks into my journey, so I may have weighed even more.

Some partial full body shots for comparison:

And the second was taken a month ago when I had a garage sale to sell some of my old clothes, I'm holding up the size 30 pants I used to wear.

Congrats!! I love that quote and it is so true. I can't tell you the times I have started a diet, then quite, and a months later, a year later I look back and think "Where would I be now if I had stuck with it". I found an image of that quote and saved it to reference when I feel my strength wavering. Thanks for sharing and truly AWESOME job!!

Congrats! That is an awesome loss! I would get frustrated at the beginning but I kept telling myself in a year it will make a difference. I have lost 64 lbs in a year and still going and still telling myself to imagine where I will be in a year if I keep going.

You started a pound heavier than I did, but my face was so much heavier than yours, and still is, even after losing 40 lbs. Your face looks great. I wish I could see the rest of you, though. I would love to get an idea of what -125 would look like on me, sort of, maybe. Congrats!

Thank you for the support everyone. I'm extremely shy and feels weird to post my pics and stuff. I feel kinda embarrassed lol. But at the same time it makes me feel good knowing I may inspire someone. I didn't really get any full body pics because I couldn't stand to look at them. But I will say I started in a size 30 pant and am now into a loose 16 to a very tight 14 depending on the type of pants and started in a 4X top and now into a Large and even some Mediums. I still can't get used to going clothes shopping and holding something up and thinking oh there is nooo way that is gunna fit me, but then it does! In my mind I'm still 325 lbs and I hope in time that feeling will go away. For anyone wondering how I did it, I started counting calories and doing cardio several times a week and a few months ago I switched to the Atkins low carb diet. For my genetics I've found that Atkins has worked wonders for me in finally burning the fat in certain areas of my body and finally getting steady results. But my one complaint is what the heck happened to my boobs! They look so sad and deflated. Does anyone have an advice in getting loose skin to tighten up without surgery? I look good and slender in my clothes but I can't stand to look at myself naked LOL
