Juice extractor v. Juicer

I would like to start juicing, and I'm just wondering if there's a difference between the two machines?
I read this and wondered if its accurate:
A juice extractor just removes the juice from the food item and leaves the outer rind including the pulp. A juicer pulls out the juice by shredding the flesh of the food item along with the pulp.
If so, which one should I get? Thanks!:flowerforyou:
