Still Considering South Beach

I am considering starting SBD next week. I mostly want to do it because I am truly addicted to bad carbs. Does the diet really curb your cravings for them?
Also, to me, SBD seems like a good eating plan, after you get out of phase one. As in eating plan, I mean for life. I would like my diet to consist more of lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies and some whole grains. Is SBD a good starting point?
Thanks MFP!

south beach is a lot easier to do than something like atkins, but (for me) the weight loss was a lot slower.

it really does kill your cravings for carbs though.

I really want my carb cravings to be left behind! I try so hard to say no, but it is seriously an addiction!

The first couple of days will be hard, after that the cravings will go away. You don't have to do Phase One. I never have.
