I set several goals in this weight-loss venture, and have beat them all....so far Losing 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 pounds have all been met. This one will be the toughest.

I vowed about 6 weeks ago that I would be under 200 pounds before September 1st - the first Saturday of college football season.

I've been stuck in the 52-55 pound range for the past 30 days, so I'm stepping it up a bit. Mandatory daily workouts, even if it's just walking the normal 5k route that I run. Joined a gym for the treadmills on hot days.

As of yesterday morning, I needed to lose 4 ounces every day to get to 199 pounds on September 1st. That's 0.25 pounds per day, every day.

I woke up this morning and had dropped 0.40 pounds, so I'm on my way.

Ran 3 miles today, and am on track with my diet - should be another good day.

I will get there.
