Bison and brown rice pasta:

Ingredients:

2 lbs ground bison
1 large sweet onion, chopped
8 cloves garlic, chopped coarse
1 lb medium portobello mushrooms, stemmed and chopped coarse
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 oz fresh sweet basil
1/2 oz fresh oregano
2 24oz jars of Mom's Basil and Garlic Spaghetti Sauce
1 24 oz jar of 365 Pasta Sauce
2 oz Romano cheese, grated
2 16 oz bags of Tinkyada Brown Rice Fusilli, or equivalent

Method:

Brown the meat in the oil, add the onion and garlic, then the mushrooms, basil and oregano. Add the pasta sauces and cheese. Simmer for 30 minutes at least. Cook the fusilli per the package, rinse and add to the sauce.

Serves 16 (I made this to freeze, you could easily cut it in half). Both brands of pasta sauce here are sugar free, as is everything else.
