Are there any Forensic Science ppl out there? Need help

I am taking an online course for Forensic science, (I had no choice due to medical reasons) . And I am needing a little help understanding some of the science in it. Would someone mind to explain , some things to me?

    I don't know specifics of forensics, but I have an AS in biology and am working on a BS in environmental science and resource management. Maybe I can help a bit?
