A victory over my weakness, and a recipe.

I threw away the rest of the ice cream I bought yesterday. I just couldn't have it in the house. Ice cream is probably my biggest weakness and I don't control my portion sizes with it at all. So after having 2 bowls (probably ~5 or 6 "serving sizes" worth in total) I threw the remainder of the carton away. I'd say there was about 2/3rds left.
I feel like this is a victory for me...weird! Anyway. From now on if I really really crave ice cream I think I'll go somewhere and buy a small, rather than have an entire quart (or is it half-gallon??) in the freezer. Much easier for me to get my fix, but not be tempted for more by having it so easily available.
Anyway, I saw a recipe online for something that will probably be able to substitute for that craving.
2 cups vanilla almond milk (You can probably substitute soy if you want, or even regular milk with a tsp of vanilla extract)
8 Ice cubes
A spoonful of peanut butter (Probably about 2 tbsp?)
1 Tbsp of Flaxseed
Blend until smooth. Makes 2 servings.
Has approximately the consistency of a frappucino, almost like a milkshake.
I added 2 tablespoons of nesquick to mine, for a little chocolately flavoring.
Just wanted to share the story and the recipe!
