    Anything BigEd335 says.. I agree:

I hate working out. But, Insanity works really well and it is the program that i enjoyed the most. I'm almost done with it but decided to take a break last week because in conjunction with my crazy soccer schedule.... I burned too many calories and I couldn't keep up with the eating. I'm serious. I'm 5'10" and I got from 165LB to 150LB in two months and I dropped another 3-4 to 145 last week. So I took my friends advise to ease down the cardio a little bit. I woke up this morning kinda missed it but decided to do strength training instead. Definitely going back when I got my weight stabilized.

My other trick is take a longer pause at the break. Insanity is designed on the Max Intensity concept. Therefore, Try to take a longer pause on your DVD at the beginning and try to keep up with the guys during the routine. after 2-3 sessions, you will not need those extra pause any more. Again, for Insanity, It's the intensity that counts.

Feel free to add me. But, definitely add BigEd.
  • Hey,

I am doing my first round of Insanity as well! I still struggle with the workouts a lot but I follow akaporn's advice and take longer breaks during the pauses. Also, if you feel like you are getting extremely exhausted take a short break and jump right back into the exercise and give it 100%. Best of luck!

Hey, I am in Insanity for the first time. . . well, truth be told, I have started and stopped the first two weeks three times due to various injuries and aches, but restarted week 2 again today... NO EXCUSES THIS TIME!!!!! Feel free to add me and keep me accountable! I am doin that and trainin for a 5k at the same time!
  • Would love to see people's results. I just started Insanity with my friend today, we are both dead tired and can barely move!!
  • I'm on month 2 week 3 of insanity. It has been a blast. I didnt think that I could actaully do it and I am almost done with it. I'm def going to keep doing this. I use a heart rate monitor with all the workouts and I eat back almost all my workout calories. you dont want to put yourself into starvation mode. Good luck with this! You can add me as a friend if you would like.

I just finished it, and yeah, it's totally rewarding if you stick with it. I am taking a week off from it and might do it a few times a week until I start a P90X/Insanity hybrid program. I'm a 12-time marathoner, and this was a totally new challenge.
  • Just keep form and work through it, I just finished Day 2 and ready for day 3! Remember no pain no gain and you can do this!!!
