Hard day today

The day was going really well until the afternoon. I just caved and ate tons of stuff that I woun't really do. I'm stressed, I just had my second child and having two children in one house BOTH needing my undivided attention is just too much. I'm not getting any time for myself!
I'm going to restart again tomorrow and keep myself on track but does anyone have any suggestions for fighting stress cravings?
Let me know!

I don't know - I had a bad day too! I had a show that opened tonight, and it seems like I've been eating non-stop this past week....I'm hoping that now that the show is open, I will stop stressing out so much and be able to get myself back on track!0

Ok, I'm no expert, but I do have 4 children, so I know what you mean! My suggestion is to take them out for a walk if at all possible (even to a Mall if the weather is bad, but there is temptation there too, so don't take money or an ATM/charge card, just enough for an emergency). Anyway, getting out of the house as soon as you feel yourself start to cave is key. Just take yourself away from temptation. It's also good for the kids to be out. If the baby is really young, a baby pack is the best way to keep her/him happy - and you get more exercise that way. Good luck and God bless!0

This is a journey, not something that'll happen overnight! I know how two kids can be a handful, just do your best to find some time for yourself and don't be too hard on yourself! You can do this!!!0

getting out of the house is a good idea. even if you take the kids with you. plus you get more excercize that way, which means you get to eat more! BELIEVE ME - i have been there with mine too. good luck! you will do better tomorrow! we all slip up once in a while.0

I used to trade "babysitting" chores with another mom or simply hire a teen to come to the house for an hour a day to play with Em while I did school work. She was a little older, seven or eight, but I worked full time while she was in school and tried to fit classes around that so I could be home with her, for all the good that was because I was constantly doing homework. I didn't feel so neglectful if she could be home with me and have someone entertain her besides me. One year I had a friend that watched her after school for two hours until I got off work and then I watched her kids all summer, full time, while she worked and I was home. You could use your sitter time to do some exercise and take a nice hot shower. One thing I do know for sure, a stressed out, unhappy mom, :explode: is not the best mom--do yourself and your little ones a favor and work something out with a friend or neighbor or family member and get some time for yourself...... as far as the eating goes, take a few minutes at night or the following morning to make up healthy snacks so you can grab and go-chewing helps, so make it celery and apples, etc.0
