Chalene Extreme?

I've been lifting heavy (dumbells at home only) for a while now and love it - and am a runner who LOVES running, but am getting a little bored with my workouts and am looking for something new that includes both weights and cardio for when winter decide to show its ugly head again....
Considered getting this - can anybody tell me (more that the seriously upselling website! ) about it?
Is it worth the money?
PS, I suck at "aerobics/step class" type stuff - no hand-eye coordination whatsoever!

I've not done Chalene Extreme, but I have done Turbo Fire... and since completing TF I'm a total Chalene Johnson convert. Anything she offers is well worth the money and time commitment (I lost nearly 20 lbs with TF in just 3 months). With that said, I did some research on CE... and the program looks to be no joke.
When you purchase the program you will get six DVDs that will contain 15 individual workouts. So, you can do a completely different workout every day for over two weeks without having to repeat it... that should help keep the bordom at bay. I also hear that the weight workouts are full of slow and deliberate skills, this gives you the oportunity to really lift heavy if you're up for that challenge.
There are a lot of DVD fitness programs out there and it seems that the biggest problem with most of them is that they become boring after a while or they just stop working once you hit a certain plateau. This program uses a variety of techniques to keep you moving all the time, keep your blood pumping, and keep your body burning fat.
The cardio workouts likely have a mix of kickboxing like moves (as with most of her other programs). It certainly will take some time to master these steps, but it definitely is possible. Plus you get to do it at home... no one is watching so it doesn't really matter if you look awesome or like a fool (lol).
I hope this was helpful and good luck!

I love Chalene Extreme. It does not require alot of coordination at all and you will see results. You can use it with either weights or resistance bands. I mix it with Turbofire because I love my kickboxing and this is alot of strength training.0

Thanks for the feedback - it sound like a good program - I like the idea that I can keep lifting heavy and do some cardio with it...And the change in dvd's is nice too....kickboxing is fine, done that before, and at least it doesn't make me fall off the step and disrupt the whole class!:blushing:0

I am ready to finish up Chalean Extreme next week! Absolutely worth every penny! I love this program. I am going to try TurboFire next because I love Chalene Johnson's style! I went from someone who hated exercise to now looking forward to my workouts everyday.
Basically you have 3 phases. The first phase is burn, you have three burn lifting circuits and then 2 days of cardio. One cardio day has an ab workout paired with it and the other has a recharge/stretch/yoga workout paired with it. The second and third phases are the same just different lifting circuits. Basically you do each of the lifting circuits only 4 times. Once per week. All three lifting circuits during the week are different. There is a schedule with it. That helped me so much! I think that is one of the reasons that I was able to stick with the program. If there are any other specific questions I can answer for you, please private message me. I would be happy to answer them. I have lost about 15 lbs. and at least 10+ inches. I will know my final results next week.
Oh and the lifting circuits are only about 40 minutes each, so it isn't super time consuming.
Hope that answers some of your questions!

I love Chalean Extreme...my results from it where pretty good also. No weight loss as that was not my goal at the time but I tones up nicely and my midsection slimmed down. This program is well worth every penny!!!
FYI- beachbody the producers of Chalean Extreme offer a 30 day money back guarantee. So you can try for 30 days and send it back if you don't like it and get your money back.
PLUS if you order through a beachbody coach you can get it as a challenage pack which is cheaper.
Yes I'm a beachbody coach but I'm not pushing anything, just providing info. Happy to help if you have any more questions0 -
I have done Chalean Extreme before and it was ok, but I got better results when I did P90X2 if your looking for cardio/weights, message me and we can chat more if you would like. :-)0

Thanks! I will try it - I absolutely hated the up-selling pushy website, but am not planning on buying anything other than the program...
At least it sounds like it won't be boring!:flowerforyou:0
