I made this granola a couple of months ago,
3 cups Oatmeal
1 cup Shredded coconut
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 raw Wheat Germ
5 Tablespoons Honey
2 Tablespoons Lite Corn Syrup
1 cup Rasins
Mix well, and put on a greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 for 15-20 min stirring every 3-5 min. I thought it wasn't toasting enough and waited to long to take it out...once it starts to brown it browns quickly so watch it closely

Almost any granola you make is going to be al little high in calories- sadly that is the nature of granola! So, I would definitely focus on healthy ingredients that give you something you may be missing elsewhere in your diet.
My granola includes dried cranberries or dried cherries.
And one tip is to use Non-Stick foil- makes a HUGE difference. You also don't have to use additional oil for greasing the pan if you use this. I didn't even know there was such a thing before I made granola!0
